I looked in to the full length mirror.
My blond hair is braded back tightly, suspended at the top of my hair in a neat bun. I'm wearing loss pants and a tank top so it would make it easier for me to shift it needed.
My silver bow is in my hand and the arrows are strapped to my back.
It is almost time.
Adal and I had spent a few hours outside in our shifters form, running and playing around like we had no care in the world. But then it started getting darker, and by each second that passed, the sun disappeared until it forced us to return to the main pack house.
Adal didn't take as long as I did. He just threw on pants and left bare chested to assemble his warriors. I took a few minutes to myself.
I needed to calm myself because this might as well be my final fight.
No matter how hard Phoebe was working on perfecting her spell, I already know that History will repeat itself. And even if it doesn't, it might leave an effect so bad that we won't be able to heal from the wounds.
Taking in a deep breath, I turned away from my reflection and walked out of Adal's room.
I made my way out of the main pack house and found everyone gathered at the large field.
Adalwolf stood at the very front, facing his people as he gave them words of encouragement.
I walked closer and stood next to him to look at the people I was prepared to die for.
Most of these wolfs had once wanted me out of their pack, out of their lives. They had tried to beat me out of this place and it was kind of ironic that now they look at me like I'm their savior, e and the three shifters.
Not all of them are here though.
The ones who can't fight or defend themselves are secured in the basement of the main pack house. My mother being one of them, she and the previous Luna were doing great in calming the young, the untrained and the old.
The elders who were so eager to have me kicked out of the pack were also in hiding with them.
But most of the people who bullied me are here, standing in front of me, about to fight by my side. Never have I thought that the day I defend these wolves would come.
In the last four years, I'd once in a while thought about the Rage Wolf Pack and each time I did, I had anger and resentment swarming inside of my chest. I'd always thought that if something bad happens to this pack, then I would turn my back on them just as they had turned their backs on me.
But here we are.
No matter how much I want to leave them to fend for themselves, the shifter in me keeps holding me back.
I was meant to be their Luna after all. Adal might have rejected me four years ago but that Luna motherly instincts is still in me, making me protective of this pack for no good reason.
Adal slid his hand in to mine, locking out fingers together. I glanced at him and realized that he had long stopped addressing his wolves and was now looking at me as if he understood what was going on in my head.
I gave him a soft yet tight smile before I looked back to the people.
My eyes glanced over to Phoebe and Brandon, who were standing side by side, their fingers intertwined like Adal and my own.
I couldn't help but smile when I saw the wolf mark on the right side of her neck, letting everyone know that she is mated to her wolf mate.
Every since Bardon has marked her, her energy has been getting stronger just as her scent.
Phoebe no longer smelled like an outsider. She has the scent of the pack now and obviously mixed with Brandon's scent.
My eyes then went to Harke and my father. I regarded Harke for a few seconds.
I still couldn't believe how much he had changed in the last four years. He is build just like his Alpha brother, ten times stronger than the boy he used to be, but still bright towards the people he loves.
Then I looked at my father.
After we had promised each other to catch a family meal together, we never got to go around it. It had been busy since the attack.
Will I get a chance to have a father before I die or will this be the end for me?
My Lioness stirred in my chest, warning me to drop the negative thoughts and focus on living to see the sun rise.
Alpha Light, Mr. Beam and Diago joined us at the front. Alpha Light was in loos cloth just like I was while Diago wore only pants and left his upper body bare. As for the giant bear, he was wearing a white shirt and suit pants .
I don't know how he plans on fighting in that clothes but I don't underestimate him either.
"It's happening." Phoebe commented, forcing us to lift out heads up and look at the moon.
Sure enough, a red moon was peeking through the night clouds, raining bloody rays down at us.
I took in another deep breath when I felt a pull on the bond I shared with the other three shifters.
"Stay alive." Adal whispered in to my ear before he focused his eyes over to the woods directly in front of the field.
For a few minutes, nothing happened.
We stood tense as we waited, My left hand tightened around the silver bow and I reached for an arrow with my right hand.
Gently pressing the arrow to the bow, I pilled back the string until it was pressed up against my cheek and aimed towards the forest.
I summoned Diago's fire, which is harder to do than summoning the force of the wind, before I let go of the arrow. The tip of the arrow was ingulfed in flames as it tore through the air and disappeared in to the forest.
But then, seconds later, the flames rose to the sky as if an explosion had taken place and I knew as well as everyone standing on the field, that I just killed a shadow.
"They're here." I yelled out and on cue, dark shadows poured out of the woods, approaching us in high speed.
