I stared at the door of Adal's office as I leaned on the opposite side of the floor.
A frown settled on my face I stood there and watched it silently.
The past two days had been extremely busy.

Other than the protests coming from my parents and Adalwolf, everyone was busy preparing for the blood moon.
I'd spent a lot of time with Alpha Light, Diago and Mr, Beam. The four of us had tried to sink our shifter together, calling at the elements we're more accustomed with.
The field looked like a magic festival in a fantasy book.
A Lion, A Wolf, A Bear and A Dragon. It was a weird combination but our bind pulled us closer and forced us to work ten times better than we were on our own.
Phoebe had been busy too. Since she recently started practicing magic again, she was starting to get her strength back.
And now that she had her mate by her side, she was stronger. She'd placed a protection spell around the pack's boarders and a spell that would alert us if any unwanted entity enters.

The pack warrior's have been training well and Alpha Light's friend, Alpha Harmon Claw came to our aid with a lot of his warriors to help with the fight.
The only problem is my mate.
Adal hasn't talked to me for two days since he'd failed to convince me to not go through with the plan.
He'd kissed me in and then tried to talk me out of it but it didn't work. Since then, he'd stopped talking to me.

I had slept alone in his bed for the past two nights and he doesn't come to breakfast or lunch and dinner.
Either he's spending his time sulking in his office or he was already tired of my presence.
I wanted to find out which one it was so I took a deep breath and stepped closer to the door.
I raised my hand and knocked on the office door but no reply came. I knew he was inside, I could feel him. So, instead of turing around to leave, I opened the door and walked in.
Adal was sitting behind the desk with his elbows leaned against the desk and his head in his hands.
He was so lost in hos thoughts that he didn't even hear me walk in.
"Adal?" I called out and he looked up.
I closed the door behind me before I leaned my back against it.
"You're hiding. Why are you hiding?" I whispered.
Adal looks at me for a few seconds before he shook his head.
"I'm not hiding. I just have a few things to go over." He replied before he started messing around with the scattered papers on top of his desk.
The sight of him made my eyes water and I felt so lost. It's as if we're back to the start line.
"Please, don't do this to me again." I whispered as the first tears slid out of my eyes.
Adal snapped his head up to look at me and his eyes widened.
"Rori?"
"Please, Adal. Don't..." My words got stuffed in my throat, preventing me from carrying on.
Adal jumped out of his chair and rushed over to me. His hands flew up to cup my cheeks and tilt my head up.
"Rori..." Adal started but I shook my head.
"Don't do this to me again. Don't do this to us again, Adal. You said you didn't want to repeat history but you're pushing me away again."
"Rori..."
"Four years Adal. We lost four year amd we lost the past few days..."
Adal crashed his lips against mine to stop me from talking. He griped the back of my neck with his right hand and stole every breath my kungs had.
When he finally pulled away and pressed his forehead against mine, I was a breathing mess.
I sucked air through my nose to relieve my burning lungs before I opened my eyes again.
"I'm sorry, Rori." He whispered against my lips. "I'm so sorry. I just couldn't stomach the fact that I could lose you again."
I wrapped my arms around his waist and Adal pulled me to his chest.
"I didn't mean to push you away, Rori, my mate."
I nodded my head.
"I'm sorry I waisted our time again." He commented before he pulled back and pecked my lips.
"Sorry." He apologized one more time.
"Apology accepted." I whispered before raising up to my toes and pressed a kiss against his lips.
Adalwolf sighed before he pressed his lips to my forehead.
"I know tonight is the full moon but we can still make the most of the time we have." I suggested as I looked up at Adal.
"What do you have in mind?" He asked.
Tilting my head to the side, I smiled at him.
"Go on a run with me." I whispered and eagerness shone in Adal's bright eyes before he nodded his head.
***
Adal and I stood in front of the forest of the pack.
It's day time and the sun is high in the sky, glaring it's natural heat down at us.
Even though it's not the most suitable time to go for a run, we were still going to do it.
"Ready?" Adal asked once we stepped further in to the woods so no on can see us.
"Ready." I confirmed.
Adal didn't make a move to take his clothes off and shift. I looked at him and raised my left eyebrow.
"Did you change your mind?" I asked.
"No." Adal shook his head before he stepped closer to me. "I want to see your Lioness before I join you."
Heat blossomed against my cheeks as I nodded my head and stepped away from him.
Being well aware of Adal's eyes on me, I shaded my clothes and stook in front of him bare.
Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and focused on the beast stirring in side of me, eager to jump out and have a stretch.
Bones broke, joints popped and muscles rearranged. My skin slightly burned as it splits and allowed fur to cover it.
Soon enough, I was done on all four, paws digging in to the earth and nose flaring at each huff that my lungs pushed out.
I opened my eyes and looked at my mate who was looking at me with such fascination that made pride swell in my chest.
I stepped a bit closer, placing one paw forward after the other until I was in front of Adal.
Adalwolf crouched down, his eyes roaming every bit of my shifter before he finally raised his hand. The second his fingers slid over my Lioness's head, she pushed forward.
My Lioness took control for a second to jump at him, pushing him back to the ground and bumping her head in to the crook of his neck.
If anyone ever dared to jump in an Alpha wolf and snuggle him in to the ground, they would be dead with in seconds.
But Adal lets out a chuckle.
My Lioness rubbed her head against his chin, showing that she is nothing but a large purry cat in his presence.
When my Lioness finally gave me some control back, I stepped back from Adal and sat down to watch him slowly get up.
The twinkle in his eyes showed me that his wolf loved how playful my Lioness is.
Adal didn't waste another second. He stood up, took his clothes off and morphed in to his wolf.
I stayed seated in my Lioness form as I watched the giant wolf stepping towards me.
It made me realize that this is the first time I ever really took my time to get a closer look at Adal's wolf.
He'd rejected me before I met his wolf and until this very moment, it didn't occur to me that I haven't officially met him.
Adal's wolf walked towards me very cautiously. I could tell that Adal was in full control of his beast.
He stepped closer and just like my Lioness did, he lowered his head and rubbed it against my neck.
Shock shot through me.
An Alpha wolf lowering his head to another shifter is an act of submission and respect. Which is why Alpha's never lower their head's in the presence of others.
But Adal did it for me.
I returned the gesture and playfully bumped my head against his.
After playfully rubbing pur heads against each other's necks, Adal's wolf pressed his head against my Lioness's wolf and for a second, every thing lay still.
This was it.
This was where I belonged.
This was where my Lioness belonged.
This was home.
Opening my eyes, I playfully nudged Adal before I turned round and took off in to the woods.
I didn't have to look behind me to know that Adalwolf was following me, chasing after me.
The heavy bond I share with him lets me know that he's behind me.
My Lioness and I know that I can never lose this again. And if anyone tries to threaten this, then I will burn them to the ground, consequences be Damned.
