I left my home after a few hours of staying.
My father and I spent the last few hours making small talks or drinking more coffee. We didn't really manage to set a day for when we would have a family dinner or hand out as a family but it was a good few hours.
We didn't talk about my Lioness either. After my father had made that one comment about me being a Lioness, he didn't push to ask any questions and I thought it would be best of we get clse first before I put my Lioness out there again.

But he did thank me for saving him earlier though, so there that.
When it was starting to get dark, I decided to leave. I was glad I got to talk to my father but I really wanted to talk to my mate as well.
I have no doubt in my mind that Adal is a but confused right now after seeing me shift in to a large Lioness and then back.
I feel like the two of us have a lot to talk about and the sooner we do it, the better.
I walked in to the main castle and the first person I run in to is Harke. He was standing outside of the living room, standing in the long hall with his shoulder leaned against one side.
"What are you doing out here?" I asked.

Harke glanced at me before he sighed.
"It's a mess in there, Riro." He replied. "Alpha Light is pissed because she missed the action. And now she wants t g out there and attack the cave."
"We're back to that huu?" I asked as I looked over t the hall leading in to the living room.
"Yup. She's about to bite everyone's heads off for telling her it's a bad idea."

With a small sigh, I walked in to the living room with Harke following closely behind me.
Every single eye turned towards me when I walked in and their yelling match suddenly silenced. I looked around the living room. Alpha Light and her people, Mr. Beam, Diago and the few warriors of the pack were here, filling the room.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Lioness." Diago commented with a smirk as he leaned back in to his seat.
I glared at the dragon shifter before I looked around the room.
"Why are you all arguing?" I asked.
"It's high time that we attack. I have a pack to return to and a life I need to avenge. I can't stay in your pack forever until you all grow a pair and decided to attack." Alpha Light commented with a glare and a harsh tone.
"We can't attack now." I replied.
Alpha Light looked like she was about to argue but I continued without letting her cut me off.
"More than half of our people were possessed today. There are all in the pack hospital getting treatment as we speak. Thanks to the attack, our numbers are no longer good and we can't beat the odds like this. Those wolves were some of our best warriors. Without them, we might as well be walking in to a fight unarmed. I don't know about you, Alpha Light but I don't want to lose more of my people by rushing in to an attack I know we are going to lose."
The room fell in silence once again and Alpha Light closed her eyes as she already knew what I was telling her was the truth. The expression she wore on her face was very obvious that she was in pain, the pain of losing her unborn child.
I feel for her. I really do. But I also know that she will lose more if she doesn't get her act together.
I watched as the Alpha's mate gently wrapped his arm around her shoulder to give her comfort.
"Alpha Light?" I called out. "I understand that you have lost more than anyone of us have in this room. And I can't begin to understand the pain you are in right now. But please, I need you to understand that rushing in to this attack is going to cost us more."
The Alpha didn't say anything. She just stood up and left the leaving room. Het mate Kevin followed after her and for a while, everyone remined silent before Diago broke it.
"I still can't believe a Lioness that big came out of you."
I leveled Diago with a glare before I turned around and left as well.
Harke didn't follow me this time and I was glad because I was climbing up the stares in search of the Alpha of this pack who was not present while the pack house was filled with yelling shifters.
The closer I got to his office, the excited my Lioness got. She was stirring in my chest like crazy, pushing me forward so I could pick up my pace to get to him.
When I got to the doo though, my Lioness suddenly grew quite. I got worried because my Lioness said that Adla's wolf was to far back in to his mind, hiding away from her and it worried her as well.
Bringing my hand up, I knocked on the door as softly as I can but Adal didn't answer the door nor did he call out to the person knocking.
It was in my mind to just turn around and give him some more time but I couldn't do it. I want to talk to him. I need to talk to him.
So, I took a deep breath before I pushed the door open and peeked my head in.
Adal was sitting behind his desk, twirling a pen in his hand as he followed the movement with his eyes.
"Adal?" I called out and his eyes snapped up to me.
As soon as our gaze met, he sat up straight and dropped the pen he was holding in his hand.
"Hey?" He said.
"Hey. Can I come in?"
Adal nodded his head and I walked in before I closed the door behind me.
Walking further in to his massive office, I leaned my hands against the chair from across him.
"How come you're here when the shifters are about t kill each other down there?" I asked.
"They'll figure it out themselves." He replied with a shrug.
Adal's eyes were trained on me, watching me carefully as if I would fly away anytime soon. It made me nervous and I didn't knw how to address the tense air between us.
"I talked to my father today." I commented before I bit my lower lip.
"Really? That's a god thing right?"
"Yeah." I nodded my head and then let out a sigh. "Adal? Are you angry?"
Adal's eyes widen a bit before they soften.
"Why would I be angry?" He asked.
"If you weren't then you would have at least come to talk to me about... you know. About my shifter?"
"Rori." He whispered before he offered me his hand.
I walked around the desk and took his hand. Adal pulled me on to his lap before he wrapped his thick arms around my waist.
"I'm only angry at myself, Ror. I'm angry because I forced us to lose four years we could have spent together. I'm angry because I didn't believe in your ability to stand for yourself. I'm angry because instead of supporting you, I pushed you away. I'm angry because I could have been there for you but I chose not to."
My arms found their way around his neck and I held him closer.
"I wish I'd just stopped and think. I wish I'd listened to you that night. If only I had then..."
Adal sighed before he pulled away a bit to look at me.
"When I saw you out there today, it was a slap in the face, one I needed for a long time. It made me realize that I didn't send you away because you were weak. I sent you away because I was weak, because I didn't have enough fate in my mate when I should have been the one to stay by your side through tough times. I should have..."
"Adal?" I cut him off. "Could have, would have, should have... Those won't help us grow and it won't help us move on. What will help us through things is if we talk to one another, is we share and if we're open. Otherwise we'd just be stuck in the past and we won't find our ways to each other."
Adal closed his eyes and leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Adal, I don't want you to shut me out again. I want you to ask me how I was in the past four years. I want you to ask me what I did and how I survived. Then I want you to tell me how you were and how you survived the last four years."
Adal pulled away to look at me once more.
"Can you do that?" I asked.
Adalwolf smiled before he nodded his head.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered before he leaned his forehead against my own. "I'm so so sorry, Rori. I'm going to make up for what I did every single day of our lives. I'll earn your forgiveness."
I nodded my head and before I could say a word, Adal's lips were on mine. He lifted his right hand to the back of my head and pulled me closer if it was even possible.
Adal moved his lips against mine gently as if I was a precious glass that would break in his arms. His touch was so loving that it made my chest swell with pride and joy.
My Lioness made a stir in my chest when she felt Adal's wolf come forward.
When Adal finally pulled his lips away from mine, we were both short of air but our beasts were pushing for a bite so we could mark each other.
Adal opened his eyes and I could see his wolf reflecting out from the orbs are they flicked in to a dark golden color. His eyes zeroed on my neck, tracing my beating pules as he licked his lips. He leaned closer and I knew if I don't stop him that he would mare me right here and now.
But I didn't get to stop Adal. He himself closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before he hugged me closer and parked his face in the crook of my neck.
His self control had amazed me and I was glad that he was able to hold himself back because I knew that the two of us have a lot to work around before we truly become mates forever.
