Rori_ POV
"Alpha Harmon Claw said he will be here with his warriors in a few days." Alpha Light Angle commented as she sat her phone on the table.
After yesterday's feast, the four of us had returned to our rooms and weren't disturbed until this morning. With all of us well rested, it was time to strategize our next move.
At first, Adalwolf had collected the elders and all his warriors to the main pack house and explained his plan, which was to help fight against the cursed Luna. The elders didn't oppose any of Adalwolf's commands but they did keep glancing over to me several times that it made me a little uncomfortable.
Then, Alpha Light called her friend Alpha Harmon Claw of the blood moon pack and asked for his help. Harmon Claw didn't hesitate to accept the help call and said that he will be bringing as much warriors as he can as soon as possible.
What none of us seem to come to a collective agreement on is whether if we should attack the cave or wait until they come to us.
Alpha Light wanted to attack the cave and so did all of her people. But the rest of us didn't want to.
"I don't think we should walk in there and expect that we can walk out alive." I commented. "We were Luck that we even got out the first time."
"Rori's right." Diago commented. "That cave is not it our best interest. We need to fight them where pur powers are at the best. We need to fight them in our elements."
Alpha Light looked annoyed but she also knew we were right. So, she nodded her head with a soft growl and sat back down on her chair.
"Is there anything else?" Adalwolf asked as he looked around his office.
When no one gave an answer, Adalwolf told everyone to start preparing.
He told Brandon and jammie to tighten up boarder patrol and keep up the training.
Brandon placed a kiss on Phoebe's forehead before he walked out of the office. Jaimmie followed after Brandon, but not before he shot me a quick look.
"This might sound irresponsible coming from a head master, but, I think some of the Kids could help." Mr. Beam commented, catching all of our attention.
"We do not bring children in to this." Alpha Light commented.
"Hear me out first." The Bear said as he looked around the room.
"Go ahead." Adalwolf encouraged as he nodded his head towards Mr. Beam.
"There are some kids that have ancestors who come from the fairy lands. The have power unlike any other witch I have ever met in my life. The can turn any super naturals body with out breaking a sweat. If they help us with some of the possessed wolves, then we might be able to focus more on the witch and Mitchl."
"Would that be dangerous?" I asked.
"I can clock them in a safe part of the territory." Phoebe commented, causing me to raise my eye brow at her.
"I've been trying to practice more." She commented.
I shot Phoebe a soft smile, proud that she was able to look past her pain and help us. I figured Brandon had a thing or two to do with this.
"Alright then." Adal called out. "Bring in those Kids and make sure to clock them well. We'll be on guard all the time. Let them come to us. We'll be prepared."
Everyone nodded their heads and one by one, started to leave the office.
My father, since he was the previous Beta, it was obvious for him to want to attend the meeting. He had lingered behind for a while and had just stared at me before he left.
"You should give the man a chance." Adalwolf said and I turned my head towards my mate to glare at him.
Adal raised his hands up in surrender before he chuckled. He leaned back on his seat and reached his hand out, offering me his palm as if asking me to go to him.
My glare turned into a soft smiled before I stood up and walked over to him. Once I placed my hand on his large palm, he gave my hand a squeeze before he pulled me over to him, causing me to fall on his lap.
"That wasn't very nice." I commented with a playful glare but Adalwolf silenced me with a kiss. He peck my lips before he leaned his head on my shoulder.
"I'm just saying you should at least listen to what he wants to say to you." He continued. "Or else it is going to bother you for the rest of your life."
I sighed before wrapping my arm over his that was tightly wrapped around my waist.
"He is a changed man." Adalwolf commented. "A lot of thing have changed in the past four years. It's just like I told you a while ago, you would be amazed at how much a person could changed in a short period of time."
Adalwolf pressed his lip at the side of my neck right at the spot where his mark was meant to be. I let out a sigh as I melt in to his embrace.
"I don't know." I said. "You can't guilt trip me, Adal."
I looked at him over my shoulder and met his eyes.
"He might have changed in the past four years but so have I. I've went through shit, Adal. It's kind of hard for me to just look past everything I've went through and listen to him."
Adalwolf nodded his head before he kissed my shoulder.
"Okay, I'm sorry." He whispered.
"Speaking of which..." I started. "How did Jammy end up as your second in command?" I asked.
"Well... He was actually one of the few wolves in the pack that never gave up on looking for you. When the rest told me that you were gone and that I should just take another wolf as a mate and Luna, Jammy was one of the few who stuck by my word and continued to travel to other territories to look for you. I never knew why he suddenly wanted to help look for you but, he did just that until the day I met you again in the silver fang pack."
Adal's answer confused the heck out of me. Jammy was one of my bullies. I remember very well that he and his friends loved to use me as a punching bag. So, the fact that he helped look for me is a bit weird.
"That's really weird." I whispered as I looked at Adalwolf over my shoulder again.
"It is what it is, Rori. I don't know what I could tell you. I was confused too but I needed all the help I could get to look for you."
I nodded my head before bumping my head against his.
"I wish we didn't lose all those years." He whispered, his warm breath fanning against my face.
"Me too." I nodded my head as I whispered back.
Adal's lips were on mine with in a few seconds and I let his warmth distract me for a few minutes.
