Rori-POV
Sleep was being a complete bitch. I have been tossing and turning in my bed for hours now and sleep refused to claim me.
My lioness was aching all over. She wishs for a run but as Phoebes' warning, i can not let anyone know what i am, especialy now that there are bunch of shadow creatues out for my head.

I Sighed as i laid on my back and looked up at the ceiling. After mom confessed to me that she was leaving my father for me, i haven't seen her. I mean, not that i had the guts to walk out of my room.
Everyone had given me space since i came up to my room after dinner, which i'm greatful for and i had went straight to bed only to lay awake for the entire time.
I looked over to the wall clock and saw that it was ten past midnight. Everyone except for the night patrols would be asleep. Maybe, i can shift somewhere private and let my beast out.
My lioness stirred in my chest at the idea of a shift. So, i quickly stood up and put my shoes on.
As i walked down the stairs as quitely as i can, i thought about going to one of the two special places i know.
The pure pond at the boarder or the place with the bench.

Since the pond was located near the main pack house, i decided on the spot with the bench.
From the breathing sounds in the house, i can tell that there are three other people besides me. Mom, Harke and Phoebe. I walked out and closed the door softly.
The night air was getting colder as the season changed, but the heat of my nature was good enough to keep me warm.
I looked around me as i walked over to the road leading to my special place. I couldn't help but remember all those times Adalwolf took me to that place by the bench.

Everytime he'd find me getting bullied, he would act like he was the biggest jerk infront of everyone but would always be sweet to me when no one was looking. I remembered all those times he pulled me into a hug on that bench and told me that everything was going to be okay and that he will always be there by myside.
Only, he had lied. Everything is not okay and he is not by my side. I sighed as i continued to walk and my thoughts helped distract me until i reached my place.
As soon as i saw that bench, my stomach fliped. I walked over to it and sat down. All those years of finding comfort in this place now just brings me saddness. I have never been here alone before so it was very pleasent.
But now, it looked very lonley. It is not a special place anymore, just an old bench sitting in the middle of nowhere.
A lone tear escaped from my eye but i quickly wipped it with the heel of my hand. No one in this pack deserves my tears. That much i know. Yet, all i seem to want is just let go and cry all the tears my pain has to offer.
I sniffled but paused when i heard someone approaching. My lioness suddenly melted like butter when a delicious scent swifted under my nose.
"Rori?" I heard him calling out to me and i panicked. I stood up from my seat to run away but he stopped me.
"Wait. Rori, please stay. I won't disturbe you or say a word. I'll keep quite but i'll need to watch over you to make sure you're safe..."
I listened to him plead and a sudden urge to just drop everything and run into his arms hits me real hard. But, instead of doing what my heart was telling me to, i reminded myself that i hated him and slowly sat back down.
My body tensed by every step he took to come closer to me. He left a fair amount of space between the two of us as he sat on the bench.
"Why are you out at this hour?" He asked after a couple of minutes of silence.
"I though you said you'd stay quite." I commented in an indifferent voice. I didn't dare look at him but i did hear movements of some sort and seconds later, i felt him cover my shoulders with his leather jacket.
"What are you doing?" I quickly asked but didn't make a move to pull away.
"It's cold." Was all he said before he moved back to his spot.
No, it's not cold. My lioness gives me plenty of warmth but he didn't been to know that. So, i just nodded my head without looking at him.
Few minutes, and i though i was being cooked. Put a fork in me, i'm done. How the hell does he wear this leather jacket even during the hottest seasons.
I wipped the sweat from my brows using my forearm.
"Why didn't you come back?" He asked. I snapped my head towards him with a glare.
"What?" I couldn't control the growl in my voice. He turned to look at me and our eyes clashed.
"Why didn't i came back to the place that tormented me? Why didn't i came back to disappointed parents? Why didn't i came back to a mate that rejected me?" I roared at him.
"Rori..."
He wanted to say something but i wasn't about to listen to him make excuses for hurting me.
I stood up and walked a few steps away from him before turning back.
"You know what, you have no right to ask me that. Hell, you have no right to even speak to me. The only reason i'm here is because of phoebe. So, don't you dare think that you can question me on anything." I ripped the jacket off my shoulders "and it's hot at shit."
I threw the jacket at him and turned around to walk away. Only, the minute i turned around, a force slammed into me and i was thrown back over the bench with a loud gasp.
Pain exploded at the back of my eyes as i crashed on the ground.
"Rori?" I heard Adalwolf shout my name and he was by my side in seconds.
"What the hell?" I whispered before my head tightened and my vision went dark.

"There was an attack at the academy as well. But nothing serious. Just a bad concusion." Mr. Beam commented through facetime.
Adalwolf was next to me when i woke up in the pack hospital. As soon as i was up, he asked me a bunch of question that i didn't quite hear as he cupped my cheeks with his hands. I looked at him for a couple of seconds as i allowed myself to feel the comfort of a mates' touch but soon oukkrd away from him. With a sigh he then pulled his phone out and contacted the rest three shifter.
Alpha Light, Mr. Beam and Diago were all present through facetime and we have been discussing what had happened.
So far, Mr. Beam and i seem to be the only ones who experiance a weird force knocking us off our feet. Alpha Light and Diago were fine.
"Did you see anything, Rori?" Asher asked from behind Alpha Light and i shook my head.
"Nothing. There was nothing." I answered and he frowned.
"It doesn't seem like an attack. Maybe a warning?" Mr. Beam commented.
"Against what?" Asked Diago and we all fell quite.
"For now there is nothing we know. So, we need to be very alert. Tighten up your patrols and always have two or more worriors with you everywhere you go. And contact the rest if anything new happens." Alpha Light commented and we all nodded our heads.
"Wait..." i called out when i saw something moving behind Diago "Diago, what is that?" I asked and Diago turned around.
The next thing we know, his phone is thrown out of his hand and crashed on the ground. There wasn't much to see or hear except for a ragging fire burst up into the air and a unmistakable sound of something burning.
"Diago?"
