I had just arrived outside Elsie’s place early. I am always early, but I didn’t inform her I would be. I plan on taking her to one of the most elite restaurants in the city. Elsie didn’t like the sound of the idea when I told her because she had nothing to wear, so I sent her a dress. She was not amused, but I finally convinced her to accept my gift.
I head to her apartment door, knocking loudly. I get a little impatient as she takes too long to answer, but finally, the door opens. Elsie stands there, seeming stressed, “What are you doing here so early?” she groans, her hand on her hip.

I raise my brow at her, “Drop the attitude, angel,” I warn. She rolls her eyes at me and starts rambling. I knew there was only one thing for it.
I grab her hips, pulling her tightly to my chest, “Elsie, shut up,” I say, “Excuse me?” she huffs. I chuckle and press my lips roughly to hers, walking her backwards into her apartment.
She whimpers into the kiss, snaking her arms around my neck and pressing her body tightly to mine. I hesitantly pull back because we don’t have time. Yes, I am early, but not nearly enough for us to fuck because I knew once I got started with her, we would get carried away and end up missing our reservation.
“We don’t have time, not right now, kitten,” I breathe out, “You started it,” she argues.
“Maybe, but still, no time. I promise to make it up to you later. Now, get your sexy ass to the bedroom and finish getting ready,” I say, “Yes, boss.” Her voice is dripping with sarcasm.
Elsie turns, heading to her bedroom. I slap her ass, following behind her. I take a seat on the bed, and she sits on the floor in front of her mirror.

“Did you try the dress on?” I ask, “Yes. It fits perfectly, and it is beautiful, but you shouldn’t have bought it for me, Kellan.” She sighs.
“You needed it,” I state simply, “Thank you, it really is stunning, but please, don’t do it again.” She replies firmly.
“I can’t make any promises,” I shrug. If I want to buy her things, I will.
Elsie sighs, shaking her head and continues to do her hair and make-up. She will get used to it. I am not one for buying things for the women I am seeing unless it is something they need, but I have a feeling with her that things may be a little different.

We stay silent until she is done. She takes the dress off the door where she had hung it up, heading to the bathroom to change. I had gotten her a beautiful red strapless dress, one that reaches just above her knees with a split on the right-hand side. It took me some time to find the perfect one for her. Red is my favourite colour on a woman.
I anxiously wait for her to reappear. The second I hear the bathroom door open, I look up. My breath hitches in my throat the moment my eyes fall on her. She looks absolutely stunning, “Wow.” I finally stammer out.
Elsie blushes, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear, “How do I look?” she whispers, chewing on her lower lip, “Beautiful.” I smile.
“Thank you,” she says with a shy smile. She slips her shoes on, ensuring she has everything in her bag, “I am ready to leave or is it too early?” she questions.
“We aren’t leaving until you put a coat on. I don’t want you to be cold,” I state firmly. She went to protest but changed her mind, nodding in defeat. I hold back a smirk.
“Happy?” she whines, slipping a coat on, “Yes.” I grin.
She glares at me. I lean in, kissing her, and Elsie soon forgives me. I offer her my hand, which she takes, and I lead us out, making sure she locks her apartment up. I have only been to the restaurant a couple of times, the food is out of this world, and I hope she enjoys it just as much.

The hostess leads us through the restaurant to our table. I see a couple of men staring at Elsie. I wrap my arm around her waist, pulling her close to me, sending them a warning look, and they stop staring. Good! I don’t like people looking at what is mine.
I thank the hostess, and she leaves us to get seated, going to get someone to come take our drink orders. Elsie goes to take a seat across from me, “No, you will sit by me.”
I let her slide into the booth first before slipping in next to her, resting my hand on her thigh, “Do you want some wine?” I ask, “No, not drinking tonight. I have an early start tomorrow.” I wouldn’t drink either since I am driving, so it worked.
“Me neither. Soda water and lime for me,” I smile, “Me too!” she giggles. The waiter comes over, taking our drink orders.
We look at the menu, so we know what we want by the time he comes back, “You couldn’t have picked somewhere cheaper? The food here is expensive.” She whispers.
“Ignore the cost. Order what you want, kitten,” I smile.
She sighs but nods, looking it back over, “I think I will have the steak,” I think aloud, “The creamy salmon pasta for me.” she adds.
“Elsie, you don’t need to order the cheapest thing on the menu,” I say, glancing at her, “No, it isn’t that. I like that dish, and to be honest, the other ones are a little too fancy for my taste.” She shrugs.
I shouldn’t be surprised. She seems the type who doesn’t want or need fancy things in her life, which is a change for me because most of the women I have been involved with thrive on it.
“Do you want to go somewhere else?” I question softly, rubbing her thigh, “No, here is absolutely fine.” She grins.
Maybe next time I should take her somewhere less fancy. I am okay with that. The waiter comes back with our drinks, and I place our food order with him.
“Elsie, you seem nervous, is everything okay?” I can sense she is slightly anxious, “Yes, I am fine.” She smiles. I wasn’t sure if I believed her, but I left it there. I leaned in, kissing her softly, hoping it would relax her, and it seemed to work.
“No need to be so tense, angel. I am right here,” I whisper, stroking her face. She whimpers, nodding. I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable, so I will make sure I keep her at ease.
After dinner, we can just head straight to my place, somewhere she can relax and be herself.
