Chapter Thirty Seven
I looked up at Gale, my eyes locked with his while my hands tightened around the flower banquet that I was holding.
"Gale Hilton do you take Amelia Rose to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and cherish. To respect her as your woman and to stay by her side in richness and poor, in sickness and health until death do you apart ? "

Gale turned to look at the magistrate then back at me " Yes I do " he replied with a smile of his own.
" Amelia Rose Rogers do you take Gale Hilton to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and cherish. To respect him as your man and to stay by his side in richness and poor, in sickness and health until death do you apart ? "
"Yes I do " I replied right away causing the audience to chuckle and giggle happily. we exchanged rings, it was only now that I had got to see the beautiful rings that I never knew about until today.
" With the power granted me by the law I announce you both husband and wife, you can now kiss the bride..."  And Gale didn't just that before the judge finished.
I was also caught off guard but I didn't mind, his lips touched mine softly sending a shiver down my spine. My heart thudded in my chest and my mind became hazy.
" speak up Gale am starting to get impatient due to this silence " though I tried to sound soft am very sure my voice wasn't.

In that fog of darkness, we are sitting close to each other looking in to each other's eyes like I had always dreamed of but sincerely the expressions on our face ruined everything.
Curiosity burned in me like charcoal as I waited for him to continue but Gale seemed like he wasn't ready to say a thing and that alone was making me more impatient.
" A chart is like a calendar of your life and yours Mel still has more years that you need to live, your life may have started out wrong but there's a future out there for you " finally he opened his mouth and spoke up but his words weren't what I had really wanted to here.
After we signed the marriage certificate, they were hugs every where from the people that I love. My people that had come to celebrate with me sincerely.

Seeing the few people that I care about being this happy for me made my smile bigger and my heart warm, we had prepared to celebrate at a small restaurant near town and after much consideration Gale Andi decided to use my car not his.
Every one departed and we also did the same, I gave the keys to Gale after he had helped me get in the passenger seat.
" you must be kidding me Gale, I am going to die of cancer so what you're saying right now isn't making any sense " I stated calmly trying to make him believe my version.
He looked up at me and smiled softly, it could been in his eyes that he knew exactly what I was thinking.
" I can't believe we're married " I said to Gale as he joined the main roared, my heart flattered with emotions. Though it was very simple it was done with love and that's all that I had ever wanted in this world.
"Yeah " Gale replied and I turned to look at him " Finally I can introduce you to every one as Mrs Gale Hilton, my wife "
Hearing him say that made my smile bigger, every single one of our dreams is becoming true and our small family just started with the wedding and then the baby in my womb I can sincerely say that this is the best day in my life.
"I love it when you call me that " I whispered to him but soon my smile disappeared when I noticed that his face had lost color.
"What's wrong ?" I asked but he didn't answer, his knuckles holding the steering wheel were starting to turn white. Gale didn't bother to reply me, his eyes on the road widened and I immediately turned to my front only to see what was going on.
My face blanched and every single cell in me became numb when I noticed the big truck rushing our way, though Gale was trying to control the car it was very clear that he had lost control of it a long time ago.
I opened my lips to say something but before any word could come out he reached my side and in a blink he removed the seat beat off me, I stared in confusion ready to ask what was going on.
Anxiety and panic swirled through my veins " Gale.. " was all I could say before he reached for my door and opened it, the winds hit my face immediately adding a bit of color to it. I didn't get a chance to look at Gale one more time before he pushed me out of the car.
A scream escaped my lips, my body landed on the tarmac with stomach fast causing a pain to shoot through my abdomen that my whole body shivered due to pain. At that same time I heard a crash behind me and my heart shattered in to peaces deep in me.
I rolled to my back while a black car that I hadn't noticed halted inches away from me, facing death like this I could care less.
"Gale " I screamed when my eyes landed on the over turned car by the side, the truck had gone through the nearby trees until it came to a halt but all that didn't mean a thing to me.
" Gale " I let out a guttural cry as I got painful on my feet not caring about the blood flowing down my legs, I removed the heels, good enough there straps weren't tight any more.
I moved towards my now destroyed car and fell to my feet besides it, my whole body was trembling so where my hands as I reached for the drivers door pulling in it open.
Loud Sobs escaped my lips and my hands fell to my mouth as I fell to a seat " Gale " I whispered to the wounded man whose face I couldn't even figure out now due to much blood.
He was being held in his seat by a seat belt, I tried to control my self and reached forward immediately undoing the seat beat and he felt forward. I held on to his arms and did my best with the least energy left in me and pulled him out of the car.
A groan escaped his broken lips and if my tears could flow any faster then they just did, I knew he was in so much pain but I was also finding hard to stop so I continued though softly this time.
Finally he was laying in front of me and I just sat their not knowing how to react or where to touch, his eyes were open as he looked at me. His conditions was so bad, I couldn't tell where he was wounded and where he wasn't though his brown eyes kept pinned on me as if it was his way of telling me to be strong.
But how could I stand being strong right now, suddenly his breathing became soft and faint before it stopped and my heart also stopped right away.
"Gale " I whispered softly but got no reply, his eyes on me were so lifeless that I started to panic, I moved closer to him my whole body shaking so badly.
"Gale " I held on to his arm and shook him softly but still I got no reply.
"Gale " I didn't it again but no reply, my hands moved to his chest and I shook him more but nothing. I sat still my eyes locking with his lifeless ones that were still looking at me.
My breathing rugged, I felt like some thing was squeezing all the air out of my lungs before I fell back and blacked out completely with my chest hurting so badly.
" You can't die yet Mel soon you will be leaving this place back to reality " Gale added and I shook my head with a him. After everyone that I gone through ever since his death does he think that I will let go just like that.
"I don't care about charts and stuff Gale, we're meant to be and staying her with you just as we had promised each other " I said to him, trying to be more stubborn than him. I don't know if through all this I was trying to act strong while I was convincing myself that things will have to go the way like when it really did work like that.
Something in me kept telling me that what Gale is saying is the truth but am too stubborn to let go.
"I wish things work like that Mel but they don't" He replied as if trying to ruin all my reasons, hopes and beliefs " And after my death Amelia things changed so much for now our story ended "
That was all it took for me to look away from him, to me this story with him has never ever ended. I have been waiting to be this close to him again, to talk to him but never did I think that this is what I would have to hear him say.
