"Larah teach me how to fight" Nala told Larah only after she walked into her room.
Larah who noticed changes in Nala in recent days watched her with little surprised. "Tell me honestly, what are you planning?"
Nala gave Larah her back, she clenched her fists as she told her "Revenge"
"Wiping all demons?"
"killing him will be enough"
At that time the door knocked. Larah opened only to find Thomas standing with his sour expression.
"I want to talk with Radella" he said as if a must
Larah knew Thomas used to be the right-hand man of the chief and during a war, he was the first person to surrender to demons for his life.
She escorted Nala to meet Thomas in the courtyard outside her manor. Larah stayed not too far as a guard even if Thomas was annoyed he couldn't do anything since the princess wanted.
"Now that you're a chief you forgot who you are. Never cared about Netha instead you made friends with demons..."
Nala didn't know Thomas apart from Larah's details that he never got along with Radella.
"What are you trying to say?" Nala asked
"You don't deserve to be our chief"
Those words made Nala recall what she went through when she was at the pack. They always sang to her she didn't deserve to be their Luna.
She gave rage eyes toward Thomas and said with anger "If I ever hear that word from your mouth, you will regret it" Then she added "You said I have become friends with demons... you are right and that will make everything easier dealing with someone like you"
Larah's eyes widened a little from Nala's warning.
Thomas slammed the table with anger as he his eyes gave murderous intent "If you insist on remaining in that position don't blame me for what am going to do"
Saying that Thomas rose and left.
Larah walked toward Nala and held her shoulder as if proud with her.
At night time Larah was inside her manor flipping pages of the book. Was a book that she once saw Chief reading and when she asked Nala confirmed was the same book Radella used days ago.
She sensed someone approaching immediately she moved her eyes to the door and waited. She could feel the presence of someone but didn't take initiative to knock or anything.
She walked to the door and opened it, there she found Jared about to knock.
"I ... can you join me for a drink?"
Larah lowered her eyes to the three bottles of liquor. She allowed him in.
Soon they seat and Jared poured the liquor into a cup.
"Are you avoiding her?" Larah lightly asked
Jared feigned deaf and squeezed a cup toward her then he poured his cup
"Are you interested in me?" meaningful she asked
Jared's hands halted and put the bottle on the table. He frowned a little but asked "Problem with that"
Larah said with a cup near her lips "I thought would be Radella"
Jared's eyes deepened then his brows wrinkled.
"I didn't say anything wrong. Not like you are bounded by blood" frowned from the bitterness of a liquor.
"Asking you to drink with me doesn't mean you should forget your position"
"I was jealous, nothing to do with my position" she said with simplicity
Jared stared at her frowning deeply but didn't find words to tell her.
The next day Larah was at a training field facing Nala cause she agreed to teach her fighting skills.
"Attack me with your all strengths" Larah told her
Nala knew Larah wasn't normal telling her that was because she was capable not baffling.
She run toward her giving all she got but none was able to reach her. She has unimaginable speed.
The fight went on for minutes but still, Larah wasn't drained compared to her. This surprised Nala more than anything.
"I want to be the one practicing with you"
Two of them glanced at Arthur and walked toward them with his hands behind his back.
"If you're doubtful I can defeat your master first" kept his smile
Larah thought about Nala who wanted to become stronger to defeat demons, training with him wouldn't be a bad idea. When she was contemplating that, Nala made decisions
"You don't need to defeat her" she told him as her eyes venomous
"Let's start right away"
Larah stood aside and left the ground for them.
Nala held a sword and rushed toward him. She threw her attacks faster and aimed to kill him.
Arthur enjoyed avoiding all attacks as Nala tried her almighty.
She stopped for seconds exhausted. They thought she was going to stop but she rushed forward.
Arthur waited with a smirk. Nala noticed but late to care and her sword pierced his stomach.
Her eyes went wide with disbelief cause she never killed anyone with her hands, did she kill a lord of demons just like that?
He was a demonic lord and with that thought, she added the strength to eliminate him for good.
Arthur's expression hardened. That expression didn't last when his usual devilish smile returned.
Nala furrowed and then lowered her eyes only to find her sword in someone's arms. Surprisingly the sword broke in half and each held a piece. Arthur threw the piece toward her and got her hand.
Larah jumped to stand in front of her facing Arthur.
"You creatures are fools" saying as he watched the wound on her hand heal. "But I have been curious since I saw you. Why a werewolf among witches? Were you pretending said, enemies?"
Nala's eyes widened from the thought he knew about her.
"Radella, you know... you are the first werewolf who never disgusted me"
Nala was still surprised when smoke turned to Arthur in front of her. Arthur removed a piece of the blade from her hand.
Nala groaned from the pain. Seeing that Larah threw her rope toward Arthur to protect her, unfortunately, Arthur grabbed the rope and then turned his strong gaze to her.
He glared at her for a moment then he told her through her mind
"Whatever you do won't change who you're, Erica. A day they found out, they will despise you, and try to kill you"
Larah replied through his mind "Have you forgotten witch's blood running inside me"
Arthur let go of the rope "You aren't different from him, no wonder you're half blood. But am warning you don't interfere in any of my ways" saying that he left.
