Rori-POV
My paws carried me around the forest as i ran in my lioness form. With the small amount of distance i was allowed to run, i tried to make the most of it through out my journy.
Two years has passed since i first shifted that awful night and the shadows seem to have quite there truspassing our forest.

The forest looked more alive now. The animals were getting back, the air felt as warm as it used to before those creatures came. And because of that, Phoebe has allowed me to get back to my hunting.
I hunt with my arrows most of the time. But, once in a while, i let my beast take full control and hunt like an animal.
The last two years since i shifted had been bitter sweet for me. Phoebe had made it her mission to teach me everything i could learn about my powers.
Turns out, not only am i the first lion shifter after my kinds extinction, i am also blessed with extreme power to control the four elements.
The flames i had experianced on my first night as a lioness was just one of the four elements i was meant to control.
I have no idea how or why i have this powers or how i am even a lion shifter when i am born from two were wolves. But one thing is for sure. I have so much to learn so i could be able to control my powers from hurting anyone.

I still struggle when it comes to the elements. If i'm having a bad day, then a tree or two would light up like candles and i'm left with guilt of my distruction.
Sometimes, we'd wake up with the house flooded with water. At times it would be strong wind trying to blow the house away. So far, earth has been the one element i haven't used or lost control of. It always seems to hide when i try to use my power.
As a remedy, phoebe has been trying to help me use the arrow to channel my power.
I had once commented that the arrows were like thors' hammer and she had looked at me all confused asking who this thor was.

A small dear brings me out of my thoughts. I crouched low to watch the dear bend down to drink some water. The dear looked at peace, so unaware of the preditor not so far away.
I carefully stepped closer while still staying low. I stalked closer to the small dear until i was steps away from her.
Her head suddenly shoots up and she looks around. She might not have seen me but she is well aware that something dangerous is close by.
I watched her carefuly as she searched her environment as well as she can. Then she finally spots me.
As soon as the dear sees me ready to attack, she sprints away. I jumped up from my lower position and chaised after her.
This is what my lioness loves about hunting. The wild chaise.
The dear is fast and she uses her tiny figure to changed direction faster that most preditors. But i'm hot on her tail.
When i got close enough, i pounced on her back and crushed her with my weight. She struggled to set herself free but i sank my teeth in her neck and held on until she gave up and laid limp on the ground. After i made sure that she was dead, i let my fangs rip out of her flesh.
I laid on my belly beside the dead animal and stared at it for a while. It was just minding its own business and yet, here it lay, dead because it was born a prey and others i a preditor.
This is one of the monents i truly hate after hunting in my lioness form. I have to deal with the taste of death in my mouth. When i'm hunting with my silver arrows, it's just me finding food for me and phoebe. It's all it is.
But hunting in this form and killing my prey by myself makes it too personal. I'd always sit with which ever animal i killed and stare at it until i was tired. At times, i can't even bring myself to feast afterwards.
Maybe its because the ones' i hunt reminds me of my old self. The small, wolf-less she wolf that was a prey among preditors. It reminds me of how they would chaise me just for fun, how much they loved it when i fled in fear. They'd even sometimes give me a head start because they knew i could never out run them.
All the rush i felt when i was chasing the dear was now gone and i got up. With a final glance at the dear, i turned away and walked back home.
Phoebe was sitting outside the house with clothe in her hands. When she saw me, she stood up to offer them. So, i shifted back to my human form and took the clothe from her. She walks in to bring me a wet wash cloth for the blood on my face from my hunt. It was once i was fully dressed and clean from blood that i saw something was bothering her.
"What is it?" I asked to hear her sigh.
"A letter arrived this morning after you left for your run..." she held up a small paper before she continued "it's from my coven."
I frowned "your coven? I though you didn't have a coven anymore."
Phoebe shook her head before she sat down.
"I do have a coven. It's just...they need me. A pack down south asked for a witch to come to their celebration next week but the witch they requested for is dead so...the counicl wants me to fill in and go in her stead."
"What pack is it?" I asked as i sat next to her.
"The silver fang pack. I'm sure you've heard of them before."
I nodded my head. The silver fang pack made hìstory about seven years ago when they hailed a female alpha for the first time ever. They also handed down both the beta and gamma position to a single wolf who wasn't even eighteen.
Their female alpha, Light Angle is one of the strongest alphas these day. Not only is she leading her pack to an even bigger success, she is also a mystical creature with a wolf so powerful that it is well known to bend everyone that stepped in its way.
Even though many details are hush-hush in that pack, it is very powerful and well respected. I just don't know why they would request for a witch.
"They haven't said of their need for a witch. All the alpha asked for was a witch who had once worked for them a couple of years ago. They refuse to let anyother information pass through to the couincl."
"So...why do you look bothered?" I asked her and she sighed yet again.
"The witch council has already sent a letter to alpha Light Angle that i would be going. So, your going to have to come with me."
I snapped my head over to her. "Nope. I'm not going."
"Why not?"
"Because...i...i'm fine right where i am. Plus, its not like you'll be gone forever. You can leave me here. I promisse to be good." I tried to argue but she wasn't having any of it today.
"Leave you here and risk you burning the entire forest down?" When i kept silent, she continued.
"I know why you don't want to go, Rori. Your afraid. But you're not a wolf-less she wolf anymore. Your a strong lioness. You have nothing to fear. Besides, we won't even be close to your old pack. All we have to do is attend the celebration, speak with the alpha and then we'll be back home."
I sighed before looking away from her. "What if they're invited too?" I whispered. I don't even want to think about what would happend if anyone from my pack finds me.
If it's a big celebration, then it is most likely that alphas and lunas from other packs would be invited as well...
Phoebe placed her hand on my shoulder and i know she knows what i'm talking about.
"There will always come a time when we must face our past and demons, Rori. It is simply unavoidable. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. It is ment to be. The only think that matters is how you react to it."
I rolled my eyes at her. There she goes again with all her wisdom and big words.
She chuckles as if she listened to my though. I playfully shoved her hand off my shoulders and earned a chuckle from her.
"Fine." I whispered with a chuckle of my own.
"Good." Phoebe nods her head as she stood up. I stood after her and walked over to my silver arrows. It was after i shifted that realized the reason i wasn't tamed by silver was because i wasn't a wolf in the first place.
But i am tamed with Iron. Pheobe told me that lion shifters are not just shifters. We are also considered feries because the first lion came from the feri lands.
"One more thing Rori." Phoebe caught my attention and i looked at her over my shoulder.
"No one can EVER know that you are a Lioness!"
