Rori-POV
I can feel people around me, talking, walking, whispering.
I tried to open my eyes but my lids felt like they weighed more than my entire body. My head was throbbing as if it had a heart of its own.

Fighting against every cell in my body, i opened my eyes, only to shut them back due to the sudden light that rushed to my vision.
"She's waking up..." I heard a very distant voice calling out and i tried to open my eyes again. After blinking multiple times, i finally peaked through my eye lids and saw the concerned face of Harke.
"Rori?" He called out as he gently cupped my cheeks with his hands.
"Can you hear me?" He asked and i gently nodded my head.
"She's awake." Harke yelled out to someone and soon enough, phoebe walking into my vision.
I moved my head to the right and saw that i was in the pack hospital. And right next to me was Diago, peacefully sleeping like he wasn't a pain in the ass when he is fully awake.

Phoebe helped me sit up before she smiled softly at me.
"How are you feeling, Rori?" She asked and i paused for a minute to remember how i got here.
Then, it all came back to me. The helicopter crashing, being chained by elements that tamed our beast, Mitchl showing up, the white woman who apparently really is the cursed luna, Alpha Light...
I gasped when i remembered Alpha Light Angle. Fear immediately squeezed my heart.

"Alpha Light..." I stuttered and got even more worried when Harke and Phoebe looked at each other with a worried expression covering their faces.
"What happened to her?" The question came from the bed beside me and the three of us turned to see Diago slowly sitting up.
Phoebe was immediately by his side, trying to force him back to his sleeping position.
"Easy there, Dragon. You need to keep resting..." She commented but Diago just repeated his question.
"What happened to Alpha Light?" He asked and Phoebe and Harke looked at each other once again.
"Would you guys just spill it. Where is she?" I spat out a little too angry than i though i would be.
Phoebe sighed as she stood up and looked at both Diago and me.
"She's here, in the pack hospital. But..." phoebe stopped for a second before she continued"she was in a lot worse shape than you guys were when you crashed."
"And, he pup?" I whispered and my heart broke when Harke shook his head.
"You guys can see her if you want. She's in the next room." Phoebe commented before walking out of the room.
Diago and I didn't waste a second before we got off the beds and made our way to the next room.
Harke stayed next to me while he held my elbow gently as i was still s little dizzy. When we got to the next room, i saw Asher and Noah at the door, talking about something.
As soon as they saw us, the simply opened the door and let us in without saying anything.
Diago and I walked through the door with Harke behind me and the sight infront of me was a little hard to watch.
Alpha Light was a mess. Tears kept pouring from her eyes s her maye Kevin laid next to her and tucked her to his side. Their daughter was sitting on Alpha Light's lap while resting her head on her mother's chest.
The scene was too heart breaking and it doesn't take a genius to tell that the cursed lina really did kill Alpha Light's unborn child.
I looked around the room to see some of Silver fang packs' warriors standing around with a gloomy look on their faces and Mr. Beam sitting at the corner of the room. Our eyes meet and the grumpy bear nodded his head towards me.
Mr. Beam had an IV stuck in the inside of his elbow and looked a little tired. But still, from the four of us, he looked more alive.
Diago slowly limped over to the bed and sat at the edge with a groan.
"How are you doing, Wolf?" He asked Alpha Light and i have to say, this was the first time i have ever heard his voice this soft.
Alpha Light opened her eyes to see Diago looking at her with a gentle smile on his face. She leaned her head on her mate's shoulder.
"Surviving." She answered as fresh tears slipped down her eyes. Her pale lips quivered a bit and she bot down on them to stop herself from sobbing.
Diago nodded his head before he turned his gaze over to Mr. Beam.
"And you, Bear?" He asked Me. Beam and the giant man narrowed his eyes at Diago before he nodded his head.
Diago then turned his head towards me and his soft smile turned into a smirk.
"What about you, what ever you are?"
Alpha Light surprised everyone with a soft chuckle.
"Jerk." I mumbled before slowly walking over to an empty seat next to the bed and sat down.
Alpha Light's mate studied the three of us for a while before he looked at his sleeping daughter. He softly sighed before pressing a kiss on Alpha Light's forehead.
"I'll get her to bed." He whispered and waited for his mate to nod her head. He slowly picked their daughter up and walked out of the room to their assigned bedroom.
As he was walking out, Phoebe Brandon and Adalwolf along with my parents walked in and closed the door behind them.
Mom was first to collect me in her arms.
"Oh, my baby..." She whispered before pulling away to look at the cuts and bruises on my face. "Are you okay?" She asked and i nodded my head to assure her even though she was hurting my beat up body with her crushing hug.
"And you, Alpha?" My mother asked and Alpha light nodded her head.
Phoebe walked up to me with brandon holding a try with four cups. She picked up a cup from the tray and handed it to me, then to Diago and finally to Alpha Light.
"It's a special herb. It will help with the pain." Phoebe turned towards Mr. Beam "and you can take a cup after you finish your IV."
That's when i got curious.
"What happened to you, anyway?" I asked as i turned my head over to Mr. Beam. "And how did they get you from your academy?"
Mr. Beam looked at he supernaturals around the room before he sighed.
"I was outside of school ground to collect... Somethings. They attacked me from behind and drugged. That's why i was out for so long." Mr. Beam shifted his eyes over to Alpha Light before he continued "I am truly sorry for not waking up in time "
Alpha Light showed him a soft smile before asking the question i wanted answers to. "Why did they Chain you with all those chains?"
"No one knows what tames a bear shifter. I believe they were just trying to weigh me down."
The room fail in silence for a while as the three of us downed what ever disgusting leave phoebe boiled and served us.
Adalwolf walked up to stand behind my chair and placed his hands on my shoulders. It would be an understatement to say that i immediately felt safe.
I turned my head around to see him watching me intensely.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he massage the tense muscles of my shoulders. I nodded my head and turned back to my cup. I was about to take another sip when he asked me an unexpected question.
"What were you chained with?"
Every single soul in the room immediately looked over to me. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know." I answered casually but no one stopped looking at me.
Diago chuckled. "You do realize that shifters can smell lies, right."
I glared at him before looking up at Adalwolf.
"Why did you ask?"
Adal shook his head with a gentle smile before leaned down to press his lips against my forehead.
"Your writs were badly burned. I just wanted to know." He commented before he reach for my left wrist over my shoulder and rubbed his thumb left to right on the red marks.
I smiled as i accepted his comforted but soon frowned when i realize that my lioness was still no where to be seen.
As we finished the horrible drinks and thanked Phoebe for the poison, i noticed that my father was standing oddly close to my mom and she was not pushing him away. I also noticed that he wanted to say something to me but kept holding back.
When he finally looked like he was about to spill his guts, Alpha Light cleared her throat and grabbed all of out attention.
The Alpha slowly sat up right and handed Phoebe the cub back before she stared at all of us.
She looked determined as she took a deep breath.
"Alright..." She said in a suddenly strong tone. "I believe it's time we start strategizing our end game."
