KAIDEN POV
"You are Kaiden right?" Maeve's father asked.
My parents decided to visit Maeve's house to plan for the wedding, now that I proposed to Maeve they are anxious for the upcomming wedding event even thought we are still planning "Make some babies soon! I want to see my grand children." Her mom added as everybody laugh.

"Ohhh I'm so sorry, I'm late." Ashly said who just arrived
"Ash, you are here." Maeve said from the kitchen while peeking at the living room.
"Excuse me, I'm going to help her in the kitchen." Ashly excuses herself and went to the kitchen
"So Kaiden, what did you do again?"
"Oh, I am an architect."
"Ohh Archi. That's good."

Our parents talked about our kids life back then, those little adorable things about Maeve her parents says like she played with the sand and made a castle with it, the one she thought the moon was following her, the one when she said goodbye everytime she saw a plane.
"This is Kaiden when he plays when he was young, ayyoo from clothes to face, there is mud, even hands. Then his runny nose who is already red because he always itch it."
"Mom..." I whisper "Why is it ugly when you describe me when I was younger? Don't embarrass me to Maeve's parent."
"HA HA HA."

"I don't think its ugly. I find it cute." Maeve said while walking towards us while Ashly followed
"Wow, I didn't think you were like that when you were young, Kaiden." She said teasingly.
Maeve sat down next to me.
"You sit here Ash." Mommy led Ashly to sit next to her, who was opposite to me.
I glared at her but she just teasingly smiled.
"This kid is already a superstar! Look her posters, songs, albums, articles and even news are all over the city. She really got her dreams." My mom said
"Yeah, I love her first song. Its so good. Its my fave. Hija, I never thought that you sing so great." My dad agrees
"Yeah. My friend, Ashly is a great singer and please everybody support her for the upcomming Metro Pop." Maeve said and got a poster on her hand with Ashly's face on it
"Woah you look pretty here Ash. What poster is this for?" Maeve's mother said while looking at the poster
"Its for the Metro Pop contestant individual posters. We will also do some picturial tomorrow with our Music Composers."
"Oh, we got a big time singer here. No problem with the wedding singer aren't we? Ashly's here." Maeve's dad jokely said
"Yeah, no problem! I'm already here. I can be the musician on my friend's wedding. Don't get other singer huh or else I will be totally sad. Oh! I want to be the maid of honor too HAHAHA"
"Of course. Who else will be the maid of honor except my very bestfriend?"
"Nothing. No one. Just me." Ashly said while smilling "I will be incharge with the bachelorette party and bridal shower."
"While I... I am incharge with the stag party." The new arrived Quintin said with Peter
"And what about me?" A woman who I'm not familiar said, she just also arrived
"Maris, Nah, ofcourse you are one of my brides maid."
The Maris look at Ashly's side and shocked "Wait, is that Ashly?! Ashly dela Cruz from Sony Music PH?"
"Hahah, Hello."
"OMG! Can I take a picture??" Maris said while now holding her phone
"Sure." Ashly stood up and went to Maris's side and take a selfie with her
After a few more hours, knowing each other, and Maris taking snaps of Ashly.
Maris's phone rang.
"Excuse me... I'm going to take this call."
Our parents' conversations turned to mahjong and tongits. Dice also got into the conversation, and I don't know Ashly is a game in this kind conversation.
"I didn't know she knew how to play dice, mahjong and tongits?" I whispered ask Maeve
"After dad taught her how to play those, she became good. Dad said she is a fast learner. Then they would always played it after the school." She explain.
I nodded and look at Ashly who was busy enjoying talking to my parents and Maeve's parents "Ohh"
Then we just listen to what they are saying and we sometimes answer there questions
"Then we have time, let's play!" My father said
"Okay." Ashly cheerfully said
I don't know that my whole attention is on Ashly that I didn't hear Maeve ask me.
"By the way, when will that Metro Pop begin?" Maeve's mother ask
"Oh, its the day after tomorrow. That's why I'm little bit late earlier."
ASHLY POV
"God Ash! This is it! Your day is going to happen!" Maeve said excitedly.
Today, the Metro Pop will begins.
I'm already dressed up and ready to go.
"You are stunning/Woah You are gorge." Kaiden and Quintin said it as once
"Hahhaha!" I just awkwardly laugh "I am really not used wearing long, sexy, and revelling dresses. Plus this heels. You know, I am not into sexy styles."
"ARE YOU READY Ashly?" Gabbi said. We are now at the back stage, waiting the Metro Pop begins "Don't be nervous." Gabbi added
"I'm not even nervous. I'm excited and confident instead. There are lots of people outside."
The araneta coliseum is full of people. There are almost no empty seats, fortunately Tito and Tita bought tickets for front seats. I am still hoping that my dad will be here, watching me on my competition, cheering and supporting me. And so that I can make him realise that I really love singing. Since I was a kid, I really love singing.
I felt a little pain in my chest
"Hey," Kaiden tapped my shoulder "We are always here at the back stage, supporting you."
"Why are you here? Go get your seats. Tita and Tito bought tickets for front seats..."
"Nahh, I like the view here. We see you more here than there, and you are probably the only one we came here to support." Kaiden said and put his arm around Maeve's waist.
There is a weird feeling I felt again. I felt uncomfortable but its good that Gabbi came.
"The Metro Pop is going to start soon. Get ready and take your sits."
Soon Mc began to speak in the middle of a crowd. It first introduced the CEO’s of the Music Company who came, followed by the guests and VIP’s, followed by the music composers and lastly the participants.
With the amount of shouting every time the MC called the names of the participants I seemed even more excited. The chance that I compete with these great people is very rare, so I should really cherish it and besides I have courage and trust in my self, I know I can do it!
"Aren't you nervous?" I heard my seatmate said to her seatmate
"I am nervous, ofcourse. Who doesn't? We are competing with two great singers today in the industry! Ashly dela Cruz and Cherry Kim are also participants and their music composers are also good, especially Ashly dela Cruz. Her music composer is Gabbi Cabrero that famous one."
"Oh, I heard that Cherry left him and went to other company."
I didn't realize that the competition had already started, if only the one next to me hadn't stood up, I might not have realized "Is this a competition or a Gossip area? If I am you, I will just go home and gossip there because I know that you will not win this competition." And the lady went to the stage.
"Omg, I thought she was kind as the commercials and article says! She had a demonic attitude."
That was Cherry?! I didn’t recognize her because of the thickness of her make up but when she finished performing she looked dead when she returned to her seat.
"What are you looking at!? And both of you, don't get too high of yourselves! You will never got the Singer of the year!"
She's crazy. Although she's my idol, well this crazy girl here is definitely not my idol!
I get two candies on my pocket bag and stood up.
"Here. Don't lose self -confidence. Win or lose, just do your best. Im sure, if you don't win, many more opportunities will come." I said and gave the candies to those two. They smiled, and I smilef back.
I breath in and out and waiting to be called by my name.
"Ashly dela Cruz of Sony Music PH under Gabbi Cabrera."
I confidently walked towards the MC "Woah, Our first ever singer who got the platinum award! She's so gorge. Aren't she? I will beat those who say no!"
It was as if there was an earthquake when the people shouted and the applause
"Oh yeah! Ms. dela Cruz, after the event can I take a picture of you backstage?"
I smiled "Yeah sure."
"Oh my! Be jealous please!" He said to the crowd and everybody laugh "Okay okay! Let’s not prolong the long -awaited performance of our one and only, Ashly dela Cruz!"
The MC went to the side.
I calm myself down as the music of the song begins.
KAIDEN POV
The shouting got even louder when Ashly started singing. I feel every word caressing my heart. Her cold voice was touching every fiber of my flesh.
"She's so good ohhh. You can really feel her voice caressing your soul and heart."
She's really calm singing. I'm so proud of her for not gaving up her dreams even though its already been 7 years that she doesn't get anything from her singing.
It's past nine o'clock when the MC will announce who will win Metro Pop.
"Unbelievable. Who do you think will win?" Everyone shouted the names of the singer they supported but I could hear more Ashly and Cherry’s name.
"So tonight， I'm going to announce who will be the Singer of the Year and the Composer of the Year." I Mc look at the small paper on his hand "They are so beautiful tonight aren't they?" It even pointed to the singers who were in the middle of the stage along with their composers. 
"He's causing suspense with the audiance!" Maeve said irritated
"Shhh，just wait."
"Our Singer and Composer of the year is....." There was even intense beating music that was played which caused more intense excitement among the viewers.
I even hold Maeve's hands tight and waiting the MC to say the winner
"Ashly dela Cruz for Singer of the Year and Gabbi Cabrera for Composer of the Year!" MC shouted loudly.
I heard him saying it like slow motion， the the confetti burst and the crowd shouted and apploases
"Woooaahh! Oh yeah!"
I quikly hug Maeve and kissed her hair
"She won. She won! She won baby." She said and was already crying on my shoulder
"Shh shhh. Yeah she won baby." I cupper her fast and wipe her cheeks and kiss her forehead.
When we looked back at her we looked at him on stage she was already crying as she lifted the trophy. Gabbi was next to her and hugged her, suddenly as if I felt something. Suddenly I lost my joy and was replaced by what. After that night when I intended to make love to Maeve but failed my attention went to Ashly and whenever I see Gabbi and Ashly together I feel like something is not right so I turned back my full attention to Maeve but whatever else I do.. I felt jealous.
I don't know why, but I really felt jealous.
"Come babe, let's go to the side stage." Maeve said why pulling me "Why does it feels like you mood changes? Are feeling uncomfortable?"
I smiled "No, I'm not." I said and apploases
When Gabbi was going to the MC to get the Microphone I noticed a large light moving above Ashly. When I saw that it was about to be removed from the iron, my eyes widened and I went up on stage.
My body felt like it was filled with nervousness as I was approaching Ashly. That feeling that you are afraid of losing him.
It was as if everything around me was gone, it was as if Ashly and I were just the two of us, even the light that would fall on Ashly was gone. I can only hear my loud heartbeat. I immediately hugged her pushing so we both fell off from the stage at the same time screaming as the light fell on the stage.
Ashly was lying in my arm and close her eyes hard.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" I said and support her to stand.
"No, I-i, I am okay." She said with a mixture of fear and nervousness and shock in her voice.
I fixed her hair and immediately hugged her. In those minutes, I felt like something has been removed to me but then I realize something, why did my heart beats like that when I was saving you? Did I already admit to myself that I like you, Ashly?
